ABOUT

ARBOR ALES

BRISTOL BREWED SINCE 2007. INDEPENDENT. HOP-FORWARD. NO SHORTCUTS.

OUR STORY

FROM A SMALL BRISTOL BREWERY TO PROPER PINT CANS

Arbor Ales started in Bristol in 2007 with a simple idea: brew the beers we genuinely wanted to drink. The first batches came from a small setup behind The Old Tavern in Stapleton, where co-founder Jon Comer turned a homebrewing obsession into a full-time brewery.

OUR STORY

BREWING WITH A LIGHTER FOOTPRINT

Good beer should leave a good impression, not an unnecessary footprint. We’re always looking at how we can use less energy, recover more, and make better use of the by-products created along the way.

CO₂ CAPTURE & REUSE

Our recovery system captures CO₂ produced during fermentation so it can be cleaned and reused elsewhere in the brewery, reducing our reliance on bought-in CO₂.

SOLAR AT THE BREWERY

A 48kW solar array helps power the brewery and reduce the carbon impact of the energy used to make our beer.

BY-PRODUCTS PUT TO WORK

Where possible, brewing by-products are kept in use, including going to local farmers and anaerobic digestion rather than simply being treated as waste.

PEOPLE BEHIND THE PINTS

GREAT BEER. MADE BY A GREAT TEAM.

Arbor has always been about the people behind the beer. Brewers, packagers, sales, logistics and everyone in between all play a part in getting every pint tasting the way it should. Meet two of the people who have been there from the beginning.
